Loved this book! Had been rereading the Gospels recently and wanted to know more about the those who wrote them. Miraculously this book was found in a stack near my bed, perhaps found at a book share in CT while traveling. It is quite old, from 1964, but it is a gem! Described as “a novel of the life of St. Paul”, it is that but so much more. Filled with history of the times after Jesus is crucified until Paul’s death in Rome. At times it was more about Roman Emperors and life in Jerusalem and Antioch, but so very interesting. Did not want it to end! Had never heard of the author before, but discovered he was quite a prolific writer in his time. Need to find more of his work.
